Going straight to the point we see that 2 Thessalonians 2 is about being gathered together unto Christ which is known as the Rapture. There are two things that must take place in order for the Rapture to take place. While some may say that it is date setting they are incorrect. For one, we don't know when THE Apostasy will take place nor do when know when THE man of Sin will be revealed, but it is those two things that must take place before the ingathering. The Bible doesn't say that the Rapture will take place immediately after the Great Apostasy and the Man of Sin is revealed.

Luke 17:30 speaks of the revealing of Christ which is the Revelation of Jesus Christ which was given to the Apostle John on the island of Patmos where we learn that he was living in exile. That is different than being gathered together unto Jesus. This gathering together is the appearing of Jesus. The revealing and the appearing are two separate end times events. The appearing will be preceded by the Apostasy and then revealing of the Man of Sin. Something is holding this back. What is holding this back? It is not a what, but is described as being a he. Who is he? He cannot be the church because the apostasy and the revealing of the man of sin take place BEFORE the Rapture so we'll be here for those two events. It is either the Holy Spirit or an angel. If it is an angel that presents a problem because Lucifer (Satan) is very powerful so if that angel is restraining the spirit of Antichrist who is none other than Satan himself then that Holy Angel must be getting some help for Michael didn't beat Satan when Satan and Michael disputed over the body of Moses. Michael said, "The Lord rebuke you." Instead. So it leaves the Holy Spirit. He is not totally removed. Removed is a poor choice of words. He removes Himself- He steps aside and lets it happen just like God did with Satan and Job.

Men have attempted to marginalize the Rapture since the Schism of Nepo long ago when eventually amillennialism came to the forefront. Prior to that schism the Rapture was taught for some centuries. Ephraem of Syria taught it. Later, after the Nepo problem, Brother Dolcino taught it. Then even later, closer to today, Morgan Edwards taught it. Then John Darby taught it. He revived interest in an original doctrine the church had been given by Jesus to Paul. Paul's letters where all confirmed as equal with scripture thought Peter said they were hard for him to understand. It's silly to have Jesus in the Gospels pitted against Paul in the epistles of Paul. Paul says clearly in Galatians 1 that he got his revelation directly from Jesus. Jesus said in Luke 21 that we should pray to be found worthy to "escape". Escape what? The wrath of God Jesus says again in Revelation 3:10 we'll be preserved from.

God never said in any passage that certain teachings He inspired by the Holy Spirit were ever first and then second tier, ever. Men made that all up. In Paul's letters to Timothy we see that all the Bible is useful for doctrine. All of it then is first tier. It is up to us then to pray and find out how we apply it to the circumstances we are in which today is the end times.

The Rapture was not invented by dispensationalists. John Darby didn't come up with it, neither did the Plymouth Brethren. Outside of plenty of scriptural proof showing it being taught there, the earliest person to teach it was Ephraem of Syria in AD 300; long before Darby. Then came Brother Dolcino and then Morgan Edwards. The Rapture is not a new 19th century dispensationalist hoax at all, as some vehemently claim, but an original teaching the 1st century church in Jerusalem and Asia Minor believed and taught.

Jesus said, "Pray you be found worthy to escape" in Luke 21 and in Revelation 3:10 He says, "Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth." Paul was not taught by men. He got all his teachings from Jesus directly. He taught the Rapture. Peter confirmed all of the letters of Paul as equal with the rest of the Scriptures, ref. 2 Peter 3:16. Jesus taught it, called it the "escape". Jesus chose and taught Paul. Peter confirmed Paul's teachings.

I can't understand why any Christian wants to go through the Great Tribulation. We've nothing to prove to God. We are as worthy as we'll ever be. Jesus made us worthy by His precious blood.

How we believe about the end times has bearing on how we live right now. We will never be able to usher in a "move of God" ourselves in our unified anointing (or whatever) that makes the earth into perfection so that then and only then Christ can return. Christ is the one preparing His bride, not the other way around. Like Esther we are prepared to please and meet the King- King Jesus.

If we believe that Jesus is the One who comes to take the church out before the Tribulation then our focus is on Him, but if we believe the church will make the world spotless, without blemish or wrinkle then our focus is upon us.

It will take pure faith to trust in Jesus for a Rapture that takes place before the Tribulation.  Even after the man of sin (the Antichrist) is revealed we'll not know the exact timing. However all we have to do is count the days from the beginning of the peace contract the Antichrist signs with Israel and wait for the halfway point- that doesn't take faith just math.  The same stands for a Post-Tribulation view as all we'd have to do is count the days of the signing of the peace contract and wait for the entire days given for the Tribulation.  The Tribulation is 7 Biblical years long or 1260 times 2 which is 2,520 days.  Half of the 7 Biblical years is 3.5 years.  3.5 Biblical years is 1260 days.  One Biblical year lasts 360 days long.  One view requires total, pure faith, the other two views do not.  The other two views will be a counting of days and holding out till the rescue comes, but what about Revelation 3:10 because Jesus said we'd be rescued?

Titus 2:13 says we are to be looking for his glorious appearing (which is different from the Second Coming).  We are like a bride to be who is waiting for the wedding day and we are following Jewish wedding traditions.  The groom to be has to build the bride to be a honey moon house connected to his father's house.  Once the father says it is ready and meets the standards then and only then can the groom to be take his best man and gather together a wedding parade that marches toward the town where the bride to be lives.  The wedding parade is loud, there are shouts, and trumpets, and the sound of celebration.  Once the bride hears the sounds which are announcing that a wedding parade is coming she must go out taking with her all the things she needs including a lamp with oil in it in case this all happens late at night because she'll have to make her way to the sound to see if it for her or another.

In this same way we are the bride to be, the church.  The groom to be is Jesus.  He has gone to His Father's house to prepare a place for us.  Once God the Father says it is all ready then Jesus will leave Heaven and come to earth.  He will announce His appearing for us outside of town which is earth itself with the voice of the archangel and trumpet blast.  Then, at that event all those who died and followed the Lord God will raise from the dead out of their tombs and graves or where ever their bodies fell.  Next, we will go up into the sky behind them.  We'll all then be gathered together with Jesus and taken to Heaven so that Jesus fulfills Revelation 3:10 by keeping us, His beloved bride to be, from the Tribulation.

Some have taken the truth of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture which is also connected to Pre-Millennialism and used to for big money.  This fact has then been used to denounce and demonize the Pre-Tribulation Rapture and Pre-Millennialism, but if big money made something wrong all subjects in the Bible are wrong because so many have been distorted, twisted, abused, and taught wrongly for big money.  What big money really proves is how important it is and how Satan hates it.  If the Mid-Tribulation, Post-Tribulation, Preterism. and Amillennialism view were so important then more attention to attack them all would be taking place.

We have sweet comfort, Jesus is coming to take His church out of the way to rescue us so that we'll escape the hour of trial to come to those who live on the earth (literally live on the things of the earth, the world, instead of the things of Heaven).  1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 gives us a command, "For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words."
